Landscape Architect/Designer

Symbio Design seeks a motivated landscape architect/designer with 3 years plus of professional experience to join our Cambridge office. This position offers you the ability to shine using your talents to effectively design and manage a diverse variety of projects.

We are a growing firm established in 2014 with a solid vision and a passion to create memorable outdoor experiences. We are seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer to lead our team through all phases of engaging projects. Our project types include landscapes for custom residential properties, mixed use developments, educational and healthcare institutions. We are located in a vibrant, creative neighborhood of Cambridge, MA.

The role includes, working with the design and build team, as well as preparing presentations, and overseeing construction document production. The ideal candidate has a strong communication and team skills and a clear vision of their own career goals.

The right person will possess the following skills:

• Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
• An enthusiastic, team-based attitude
• Experience working in a Landscape Architecture office
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and graphic ability in SketchUp and Adobe Cs3 software
• Ability to self-direct effective management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Strong sense of design and ability to preserve it throughout all project phases
• Strong oral and written communication skills; solid presentation skills
• Proficiency with the design/build process; Understanding of construction methods and practices
