Entry Level Landscape Designer (0-5 yrs exp)

VIEWSHED, a leading landscape architecture, GIS, and planning firm in Yarmouth, Maine, is looking for an entry level landscape designer with 0-5 years of experience to expand our team of design professionals.
We are looking for a landscape designer excited about working in a small office environment with a wide variety of projects and opportunities for personal growth. Our team is made up of designers and story tellers, and we want to bring on a new teammate with strong design and communication skills. This new team member will be responsible for graphic representation, construction documentation, and coordination with project managers and other team members to produce client deliverables.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• An accredited degree in landscape architecture (BLA, MLA, or comparable degree)
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills
• Fluency with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
• Proficiency in computer drafting (CAD)
• Experience with Sketch up, 3DS Max, or ESRI GIS is a plus
Our studio provides a collegial, supportive, and fun work environment. Team members occasionally travel for fieldwork with overnight stays, as well as participate in evening meetings. Fieldwork can often involve hiking and kayaking in remote wilderness areas.
VIEWSHED projects range from large-scale planning assignments to detailed site design. Yarmouth is 15 minutes north of Portland, and close to the ocean, lakes, mountains, and great outdoors. Our hours are flexible and remote working can be arranged for some portion of the week. We are looking to hire immediately.
