What do you want to see in Chelsea? More trees? Parks or green spaces?
These are questions that GreenRoots and BSLA are asking neighborhood residents. This free, public, outdoor community event will share research and analysis about urban heat and plans for pilot projects in creating a “Cool Block” as we engage residents in conversation about their hopes and needs for a future park at this site.
Learn more & join us Friday! (Postponed due to rain, the new date is FRIDAY, October 1, 3:30 - 5:30pm).
If you have questions or interest in participating in this effort ongoing, please email gretchen@bslanow.org.
This community charrette connects with the C-HEAT project and ties to the work of the City of Chelsea, GreenRoots, the Boston University School of Public Health, Weston & Sampson and others.
THANK YOU to Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio and Forms + Surfaces for generously providing volunteer support to this event!
