The BSLA Circle of Support

The time to lead with landscape is now.

BSLA is on the forefront of supporting landscape architects and advancing landscape architecture in our region. With you we are doing this — and together we can do more. Catalyzed by the Cunningham Challenge, BSLA’s “Circle of Support” is an ongoing fundraising program with firms and individuals to build an enduring framework for our organization.

A contribution to the BSLA Circle of Support is an investment in the future of our Massachusetts and Maine landscape architecture community.

Sponsorship of any size makes a difference -- $50, $500, or whatever works for you or your business. Or please consider volunteering your time. We are a volunteer-led and volunteer driven 501(c)6 nonprofit organization. Thank you for including BSLA in your annual giving.

Help us grow together

Every day, landscape architects transform spaces, shape communities, and drive meaningful change. But behind every successful project and innovation is a network of support—an ecosystem of collaboration, learning, and shared growth. Today, we’re asking you to invest in that ecosystem, so we can continue to strengthen and expand it.

Join the BSLA Circle of Support and help us build a thriving community of landscape architects in Massachusetts and Maine.

BSLA’s Circle of Support is more than just a fundraising initiative—it's a vital means of sustaining the programs, activities, and events that bring us all together throughout the year. Your contribution ensures that we can keep offering valuable opportunities for connection, education, and professional growth.

  • The BSLA community is unique. Here, we learn from one another, from our peers, and from some of the most innovative leaders in the field. By fostering this community, we help each other grow into better designers, thinkers, and advocates. Whether you’re an emerging professional just starting out, a firm leader managing a growing team, or a landscape architect looking to give back, BSLA offers something for everyone.

But none of this is possible without the resources to sustain it. Most of our events, meetups, and workshops are offered at no cost or a low cost, but they still require financial support to make them happen. Your donation to the Circle of Support directly impacts the programs and initiatives that build and strengthen our collective expertise.

    What Your Support Makes Possible

Your contribution to the Circle of Support helps fund year-round opportunities for us all to grow and engage:

    • Professional Development: LARE study groups, test preparation support, and job boards for employers and job seekers.

    • Inspiring Events: Field trips, workshops, and meetups where we share knowledge, discuss local projects, and learn from one another.

    • Advocacy & Outreach: Initiatives like our annual Advocacy Day at the Maine Hall of Flags, where we meet with state and federal legislators to elevate our profession’s impact on policy and licensure.

    • Student Engagement: Mentorship and educational outreach programs like the Summer of Spatial Design, which introduces students to the field and connects them with real-world opportunities.

    • Recognition & Celebration: Professional awards and community gatherings that recognize outstanding work and offer powerful marketing opportunities for firms.

    Why Now?

As you know, 83% of ASLA membership dues go to the national organization. Only $90 comes back to our chapter—and we haven’t raised chapter dues in over a decade. By keeping our membership affordable, we ensure that everyone has access to our resources. But in order to continue delivering high-quality, member-driven programs, we need to ask for your financial support.

    How You Can Help

As an individual or as a firm, please consider making a contribution to the BSLA Circle of Support. Your donation will directly fund the programs that make our community stronger, more connected, and more resilient. Whether you can give $25, $50, $100, or more, every contribution matters and helps us grow.

Together, we can continue to advance the practice of landscape architecture in New England and ensure that our profession thrives in the years to come. Thank you for being part of this important work. We couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you for strengthening our roots and supporting our growth.

Thank you to the firms + individuals who are part of this year’s Circle of Support.
