The Complete City: Summer of Spatial Design

The Complete City: Summer of Spatial Design is a two-week hands’ on intensive that introduces students to the fundamentals of spatial thinking. Students will investigate the physical world around us and propose new visions for the future. Learning from architects, landscape architects, and urban designers, students will develop skills in how to observe, analyze, and create in context. No experience necessary; all that's needed is a curiosity about the built environment and a desire to consider what might be.

Students will learn to see the world differently!

This course is created by a local multi-disciplinary team led by the Boston Society of Landscape Architects & BSLA Maine Section in partnership with the Portland Society for Architecture.

Daily teaching faculty, presentations, site visits, and studio guests are with landscape architects, architects, designers and planners from the Portland-area design community.
