Final Presentations for Fort Point Waterfront Community Design Workshop

  • Artists for Humanity Epicenter 100 West 2nd Street Boston, MA, 02127 United States (map)

In person at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter, 100 West 2nd Street, Boston

BSLA is pleased to be a part of the Fort Point Waterfront Community Design Workshop Program that Boston Harbor Now is organizing with the Fort Point Neighborhood Association along with the BSA, Stone Living Lab, and BPDA. Boston Harbor Now is hosting a series of events in the next two months to develop design concepts for two sections of the Fort Point waterfront that we hope will assist property owners up and down the channel.

The in-person kick off on October 19th is designed to offer a briefing on past and current planning efforts along, around, and across the Fort Point Channel followed by an opportunity for folks to join teams composed of designers and local stakeholders and start working.

The concluding conversation and final presentations on November 19th will provide a forum for teams to share their design ideas and an opportunity for all participants to weigh in on the elements that they hope to see integrated in future development, redevelopment, and other projects in the area -- local preferences for "Harborwalk 2.0" pieces that address coastal resilience, inclusion and equity, and access and connectivity.

In between there will be "office hours" for teams to check in with the organizers and work together.

Landscape architecture community — please take part! Students and Emerging Professionals are especially invited to participate. We hope that folks with a range of design experience get involved. Thank you!
