BSLA Service Day: Western Mass

In person.

Let’s get outside into the landscape! We’ll pitch in to help clean up a landscape as we say hi to friends, too. Family and colleagues, all welcome.

The Western Mass Section will be working at the Saw Mill Hills South conservation area in Northampton on Saturday morning, April 16. We will be helping the City of Northampton with invasive plant management (following up on our work last year), as well as some fun new activities, including: building a rock stepping stone bridge, and planting twenty-two trees!

If you have them, BYOT (Bring your Own Tools), including gloves, shovels, rakes, preferred bug spray, loppers/hand pruners, a water bottle. We will have some extras, too. We'll be in brush at times, so please dress for tick prevention.

Please email Nate Burgess at nate@dodsonflinker.com if you think you might attend. We need your help, and we hope to see you there!

Throughout the month of April, the BSLA community will celebrate World Landscape Architecture Month through service activities at three different sites — in Western Mass, in Maine, and in the Boston area.
