Come play with us! BSLA would love to have you participate in one of our PARKing Day installations.
PARKing Day is a global day in which parking spaces are temporarily transformed into mini parks, happening this year on Friday, September 15. We like to use PARKing Day as a means to introduce kids and teens to landscape architecture. ASLA’s overall theme this year is Pollinators.

Pictured: BSLA PARKing Day installation 2022, in collaboration with Boston Green Academy, Brighton, Mass. Once set up, activities invited teens to explore seeds and soils. Ninth graders led the setup, and they completely changed the street outside of their school for that day. Boston’s Deputy Chief of Urban Design, landscape architect Diana Fernandez, ASLA, stopped by to say hello.
