ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join us outside! Now in its fourth year, our "Inside/Out" series of landscape architecture site tours continues across our region. Prioritizing issues of climate and health, equity and resilience, each tour will discuss ideas and implementation as we explore these landscapes together.

The 2023 series continues in Brookline, Massachusetts. This tour starts at the new Brookline High School -- the Commonwealth's newest public high school, which opened a few weeks ago to great acclaim. The high school sits across from Cypress Street Playground and Field -- the nation's oldest playground! It was just renovated in 2022 with a special focus on play and resilience for the 21st century.

Led by landscape architects from the Town of Brookline and from the design teams, this walk will continue to Brookline Village. Along the way, we'll explore the details and process of a few public spaces, both new and historic -- Emerson Gardens, the Village Parklet, Brookline Place, and more -- reimagined for fun and climate change and contemporary communities.

This walk will end in Brookline Village at approximately 6pm, followed by food & drink & a fall social.

Thank you to Maglin Site Furniture for sponsoring!

.

NOTE: Though there's lots to see, the walk is short. We'll start near the Brookline Hills T stop and end near the Brookline Village station -- both on the green line, a twelve minute walk away.

.

All are welcome. Tickets are free, but attendance is limited. Sign up today!
