In person.
Join us outside!
Our 2023 "Inside/Out" series of landscape architecture site tours continues in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The City of Worcester has been leading a dramatic transformation, from one based in 19th century heavy industry to one that environmentally, economically, and culturally thrives in the 21st.
We’ll explore the design and details of new Blackstone Gateway parks, followed by master planning of a new urban district downtown. At the heart of the new district is the new Polar Park stadium, home of the Worcester Red Sox, Boston's beloved Triple A baseball team. The event ends with a WooSox game.
SCHEDULE
1:00pm Meet at Blackstone Gateway Park (next to the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center)
3:00pm Meet outside of Polar Park, for a discussion of planning and park design
4:05pm Worcester Red Sox game. WooSox vs. Scranton/WB RailRiders
Special discounted tickets include ballpark fare (think: burgers, dogs, and the like). Cash bar.
Landscape Architecture site tours are free. WooSox game tickets are $10 for kids, students, Emerging Professionals, and BSLA members; $15 adult non-members. Families and friends are welcome.
Join us for the tours, or the baseball game, or both.
