BSLA, in collaboration with our sponsors, is piloting the LARE Mini Grant program to provide financial assistance with licensure. Spearheaded by BSLA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion working group, the grants are aimed at helping members for whom the exam fees are a burden and increasing the racial and socioeconomic diversity of licensed landscape architects within the profession. Selected recipients will be awarded small grants of $200-$400* to subsidize the cost of LARE exam fees. Participants may receive up to one grant per LARE exam. Priority will be given to those who are able to demonstrate need, particularly those who do not have access to additional sources of funding. Practitioners who receive reimbursement from their firms are not eligible.
