"Accelerating Change"
Each year, the Massachusetts Water Forum unites legislators, local elected officials, water specialists, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, community members and landscape architects, designers and planners to actively discuss policy change regarding issues pertaining to our water resources, especially as relates to climate action and creating resilient communities.
This year our program is aligned with the UN's World Water Day theme -- "Accelerating Change." The theme is succinctly described by World Water Day.org (Click here)
The keynote will be given by Kotchakorn Voraakhom, landscape architect and chairwoman of the Climate Change Working Group of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA World), delegate to COP27, and CEO and Founder of Landprocess and Porous City Network. Voraakhom has been recognized by the United Nations, TIME, the BBC, and Bloomberg for her work in building productive green public space that tackles climate change in dense urban areas and climate-vulnerable communities.
Thinking globally, acting locally, the Mass Water Forum will encourage all participants to pose questions, add their insights, and discuss ideas for new designs, policies, systems and resource uses for the Commonwealth.
This event is free, but registration is mandatory since space is limited. Light snacks will be provided.
