Brown, Richardson + Rowe, Inc., Landscape Architects and Planners, is an award-winning women-owned business seeking a talented landscape architect to join our firm. The candidate shall have four to eight years of experience, with a Massachusetts LA registration preferred. We are a small office working in a hybrid environment and our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, organized, team player. The applicant should have the ability to work independently and to delegate work to others. We want you to add your sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and positive attitude to our team.

We are seeking an individual who possesses the ability to oversee a range of projects simultaneously, effectively communicate with clients, and manage diverse groups of subconsultants. The individual should have experience managing small teams of staff, be adept at keeping track of project schedules and budgets and have a proven ability to prioritize work tasks to meet deadlines. The candidate must have experience in grading, preparing construction document sets, performing construction observation, and a strong knowledge of plant materials suitable for use in New England climates. The individual must have strong writing and speaking skills, the ability to collaborate with fellow colleagues, and have an eye for design. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Ability to manage projects including communicating with clients and coordinating with subconsultants,

  • Interest in generating and maintaining professional relationships with clients and subconsultants, contributing to business development, participating in marketing, and writing proposals for new work,

  • Interest in working within the public sector,

  • Strong knowledge of plant material suitable for New England climates,

  • High level proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and LandFX,

  • Proficiency in SketchUp or other 3D modeling software, and

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
