Position Description:

Responsibilities:
Support lead on community engagement for Envision Resilience.
Maintain a stakeholder resource database, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
Track community engagement (before, during and after design studio years).
Attend events, community meetings and events on behalf of Envision Resilience to represent and introduce all programs and collaborative opportunities.
Regularly seek and form new partnerships and strengthen existing ones to better serve Envision Resilience communities, partners and students.
Oversee protocol and systems for community engagement with university partners and studio teams.
Support engagement between studio teams and community advisors.

Work with the Communications team on outreach and communication materials, social media and outreach.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Opportunities:
The Operations Manager will report directly to the Executive Director, supporting leadership in the day-to-day management of Envision Resilience operations:
Serve as key point person to an integrated family office management company to manage Envision Resilience’s core operational support related to legal, grants, HR, finance and IT.

Support the rollout of new tools and platforms that support new programmatic work.

Envision Resilience is seeking a Design Studio Manager with a background in architecture, landscape architecture and/or urban planning to join its growing team. The Design Studio Manager will run the annual multi-university design studio–now in its fifth year—and manage academic partnerships in landscape architecture, architecture and planning; develop a fellowship program and oversee major academic programming including curriculum, speakers and final reviews. The Design Studio Manager will work in close collaboration with the Community Engagement Manager and support faculty workshops, student site visits, final exhibition and studio reports.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Design Studio Programming
Manage the annual Envision Resilience Challenge–a multi-university, interdisciplinary, place-based design studio, including partnerships with academic institutions, community stakeholders and external partners.
Develop annual Challenge Brief and design studio curriculum in collaboration with the Envision Resilience team.
Establish a system for cataloging and documenting design studio processes, outcomes, research and theories to publish and present.
Oversee annual cycle of studio proposal submissions and lead Envision Resilience team in decision-making and selection process.
Expand and regularly update programming and curriculum with the latest technology, cutting-edge research and best practice.
Work with Envision Resilience Technical and Academic Advisors to grow network of jurors, speakers and partners for all design studio programming and curriculum.

Design and launch an Envision Resilience fellowship program.

Preferred Experience and Education:

Landscape Project Manager
Boston Food Forest Coalition (BFFC) is a nonprofit Community Land Trust based in Boston, Massachusetts. BFFC transforms unused urban land into socially- & ecologically-thriving food forest gardens, while supports neighborhoods groups in maintaining these spaces for future generations.
Overview
Reporting to the Engagement & Construction Director, the Landscape Project Manager will oversee the construction of new food forests in addition to supporting their design thus transforming underutilized land into thriving green spaces that benefit the entire Boston community. This includes managing all aspects of the projects, from design to grand opening, with a keen eye towards ensuring that each project is completed on time, on scope, and within budget. This person will manage end-to-end development of between 5-10 new food forests at a time.
The ideal candidate has experience in park building and landscape construction management, with a balance of project management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. They are a creative problem-solver, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator who can build relationships with diverse stakeholders. They have strong project management experience, and understand the construction and/or design process of landscape or park development. A passion for food forests and a commitment to community collaboration in creating sustainable green spaces is essential.
Responsibilities
Construction management
Manage contractors to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Manage infrastructure construction, e.g., mainline water installation, solar power systems, irrigation systems.
Build partnerships with construction suppliers, e.g., for fruit tree provision, materials, etc.
Develop and implement safety protocols, and ensure they are followed.
Report weekly, and monthly on progress, indicators, to the Engagement & Construction Director.

Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
Provides technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. state or municipal governments, non-profit organizations) to accomplish strategic objectives for complex landscape planning initiatives.
Analyzes land use, cultural resource characteristics, site conditions and visitor experience goals to prepare and oversee contracting packages for landscape design and planning services.

Responsibilities
The Horticulture Project Manager and Designer primarily manages horticulture projects in the field; works on planting designs; oversees contractors and service providers; coordinates horticulture Volunteer engagements; and maintains plant records. michael boucher landscape architecture (mbla | inc.) is seeking an enthusiastic and talented landscape architect or designer with 2 - 5 or more years’ experience to join our close-knit studio in southern Maine. The position offers opportunities to participate in a range of exciting projects, including hospitality ventures, private properties, urban spaces, academic and institutional campuses, and many others, located across the US and Canada. Many of our projects involve collaborations with distinguished architecture firms and other accomplished professionals.
Qualified applicants are inquisitive and passionate about the natural and built environments and experienced working with allied colleagues and client groups.
